Accountability is "the explicit expectation that one will be called upon to justify one’s beliefs, feelings, or actions, coupled with an expectation that people will reward or punish us based upon how well we justify ourselves" (Lerner and Tetlock, 1999).

Trustworthy – They should be reliable and maintain confidentiality, ensuring you feel safe.
Honest – They should provide candid feedback, even when it's tough to hear.
Caring – They should be genuinely concerned for your well-being.
Availability – They should be accessible and committed to regular check-ins.
Find someone with whom you can be vulnerable and who will push you to do better. This could be a friend, mentor, priest/pastor. You could also join a group of people striving to overcome sexual sins together or start your own group.
